Rafał Gawron (Rufi) – the leader of

band, keyboard player - singerHe was born in a city with a great Polish tradition, with a legend ; in a city where the beautiful Jasna Góra Monastery is situated, and where John Paul II was meeting with teenagers from all over Poland. This beautiful city is Częstochowa. Rafał is a humorous guy, optimistic, full of enthusiasm, with positive energy and ideas. He is funny, cheerful and a born dance leader.
If you would like to know when he found himself in the world of music, he says it was just after he was born. He improved his vocal at his home studio and did not allow his parents to sleep. Then he continued by getting on his teacher’s nerves at schools of music, and giving performances at instrumental festivals for rubbernecks on his way back from accordion lessons – he was 9 years old then and he could barely hold this machine. He took an active part in the musical life of the school he attended. He took part in every school performance, show and concert and he established artistic clubs. Music has accompanied him since his childhood. He learned it eagerly, although he preferred cheerful, rhythmic and vivid pieces of music, which were played by ear, rather than learning notes and playing etudes. He made his debut as an accordionist at many music shows for amateurs when he was 11, however it was of high importance to him. As time went by, he transformed his ability to play keyboards, and he refined his vocal ability in many bands with good result within the media.
„MATRIX” was established after some of Rafał’s reflections, after unsuccessful cooperation with other bands (although he also has nice and good memories left), and due to the need of musical freedom, deeper music development, pursuing perfection, creating something that was his own, something original and creating his own style. Rufii claims that important thing in music and within bands, which entertain people with music, is not to critisize different music styles which we do not like. It is also important not to claim that other bands are worse, unprofessional and that they do not play life. An important thing is this what we give from us, what we would like to give in this one particular moment and how it is perceived by audience. Idea, tolerance and treating clients and coworkers in the same way counts. Rafał and the entire Matrix band try to improve their image on the Polish music stage, and pursue the creation of something that would be their own and original, which would bring joy to their friends and clients as well as to them. They won likeliness and popularity within clients and companies in Poland and abroad thanks to their charisma and the fact that they do not criticize others.
